Department offers:

  • M.Tech in Environmental Engineering (4 semesters) with an intake of 18 per year

Accreditation Status: M.Tech in Environmental Engineering offered by the department is accredited by National Board of Accreditation for 5 years in 2007 and 3 years in 2014.

Programme Outcomes (PO)

  • PO1. An ability to independently carry out research /investigation and development work to solve practical problems
  • PO2. An ability to write and present a substantial technical report/document
  • PO3. Students should be able to demonstrate a degree of mastery over the area of Environmental Engineering. The mastery should be at a level higher than the requirements in the appropriate bachelor program
  • PO4. Acquire in-depth knowledge about various environmental processes and to participate in collaborative and interdisciplinary practical/research projects
  • PO5. Create, select and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering tools including prediction and modelling to arrive at sustainable solutions
  • PO6. Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess, understand, predict and quantify impacts of new projects and to effectively manage environmental resources, their development and applications to meet the desired needs of society within ethical and sustainability constraints.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEO)

  • PEO 1:To prepare the students to have a strong knowledge base in multiple areas of EnvironmentalEngineering through coursework and research specialization
  • PEO 2:To enable skills for lifelong learning to become successful professionals by enhancing technical and professional growth
  • PEO 3:To inculcate among students’ sensitivity towards social and environmental issues/responsibilities and train them on developing practical, efficient and sustainable solutions on different problems and challenges of Environmental Engineering
